Teahaven
Teahaven works offline. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics, and your shelf, your favourites and your own brewing notes stay in the app on your phone.
Controller
The controller of any personal data described here is BURO MIG LTD EOOD, trading as SilverMeadow Studio, 4 Tsar Ferdinand blvd., Fl. 2, Ruse 7002, Bulgaria, represented by Petko Atanasov. We process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Bulgarian Personal Data Protection Act. Contact: steep@buromig.sbs.
What the app keeps, and where
- The teas you add to your own shelf and the ones you star.
- The brewing notes you write for yourself.
- Your settings: language, Celsius or Fahrenheit, the look you chose, timer preferences.
This is stored in the app's private area on your device. It is not sent anywhere, and we hold no copy of it, because Teahaven has no server behind it. If Android's backup is enabled on your phone, your own backup at Google may include this data; that copy is between you and Google.
Permissions
The only permission Teahaven may ask for is the one to show notifications, so the steeping timer can tell you when the tea is ready. Nothing is collected through it, and refusing it leaves the timer working on screen. The app asks for no location, camera, microphone, contacts or file access, and it opens no network connections.
No tracking of any kind
There is no sign-in, no advertising identifier, no analytics SDK and no profiling. We learn nothing about how you use the app, and we cannot see your shelf or your notes.
Google Play
The download runs through Google Play under Google's own privacy policy. If your device shares usage and diagnostics with Google, aggregated crash and performance reports may reach us via the Play Console. They identify nobody and are used only to fix faults.
Children
The app collects nothing from anyone, children included. Brewing involves very hot water, so children should make tea with an adult.
Tea, herbs and honesty
Teahaven is a culinary guide about flavour and brewing, not medical advice, and nothing in it treats, prevents or diagnoses anything. Herbal material can still matter medically: some herbs interact with prescription medicines, some are unsuitable in pregnancy or while breastfeeding, some are not for young children, and any plant can cause an allergic reaction. If you take medication, are pregnant, or are brewing for a child, ask a pharmacist or your doctor before trying something new. In an emergency anywhere in the EU, call 112.
If you write to us
Your email address and message reach us and are used only to answer you and to correct the guide. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to correspondence (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the exchange within 12 months of our final reply unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. In practice the only personal data we could hold is correspondence you sent us. Write to us and we will answer within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (Комисия за защита на личните данни), 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd, Sofia 1592, cpdp.bg, or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live.
Transfers outside the EU
We transfer nothing. The app sends no data abroad because it sends no data at all.
Deleting what is stored
Android Settings, then Apps, then Teahaven, then Storage, then Clear data removes the shelf, the favourites, the notes and the settings together. Uninstalling does the same.
Changes
If a release changes how the app handles data, this page is updated with a new effective date before that release reaches Google Play.
